I’m often asked about gear, so I created this kit blog which I will keep up to date. Most of these links are “affiliate links” which means if you click on it and buy it I receive a small commission. Any support for my work is much appreciated!
Nikon D800– My first full frame camera. Superb image quality and dynamic range, a beast with adverse weather conditions.
Nikon 16 – 35 f/4 ED VR II– Probably my most used lens. It’s expensive but worth every penny for its image quality, sharpness and it also allows me to use 100mm filters.
Tamron 24 – 70 f/2.8 VC USD For Nikon– A great lens and very affordable. It offers amazing image quality throughout the focal range and is very versatile for a lot of landscape situations.
L-Plate – This allows me to rotate my camera 90°. Essential for landscape photography.
Pluto Trigger – This allows me to control my camera wirelessly using a smartphone app.
NiSi Filters– I use a number of NiSi graduated ND filters, ND filters and a polarising filter. All of these are used with theV5 pro holder. They’re all carried in thisfilter pouch. The quality of the filters is second to none.
LowePro Tactic 450– A great camera bag. Solid, versatile and perfect for travelling due to its shell-like construction.

Dell XPS 15– Performance and portability, you get the best of both worlds with this laptop.
Lacie Rugged HD– This holds all my raw files, finished images and Lightroom catalogues.
Memory Card– I use the Lexar 64gb cards, they’ve never let me down.
