My gear

I’m often asked about gear, so I created this kit blog which I will keep up to date. Most of these links are “affiliate links” which means if you click on it and buy it I receive a small commission. Any support for my work is much appreciated!
Camera gear
Nikon D800 – My first full frame camera. Superb image quality and dynamic range, a beast with adverse weather conditions.

Tamron 24 – 70 f/2.8 VC USD For Nikon – A great lens and very affordable. It offers amazing image quality throughout the focal range and is very versatile for a lot of landscape situations.
Nikon 80 – 200 f/2.8 D ED Great lens for capturing frame-filling images of a faraway subject.
Nikon 50 f/1.8 – Cheap, lightweight. It comes in handy for portraits & events.
Manfrotto 190 go A lightweight and solid tripod. I have used this for years and it has always endured any weather condition.
Manfrotto XPRO Magnesium Ball Head (Arca Swiss) – A well designed and well-made tripod ball head.
L-PlateThis allows me to rotate my camera 90°. Essential for landscape photography.
Pluto TriggerThis allows me to control my camera wirelessly using a smartphone app.
